WHITE HOUSE – While Presidents pardoning turkeys leading up to Thanksgiving has been a tradition for decades, this year took the process a step further when President Trump pardoned a turkey named Gobble for its participation in storming the Capitol building on Jan 6, 2021.
“We are here to right one of the many wrongs of Sleepy Joe’s corrupt administration,” said Trump, who seemed unaware that this was also the Thanksgiving turkey pardoning ceremony. “As someone who knows a good thing or two about how to gobble – Bubba, am I right? – I can tell you now that this turkey was wrongfully prosecuted for peacefully protesting in support of everyone’s favorite president. You’re a free bird now, Gobble, you magnificent bastard!”
Shortly after, Gobble was rearrested on an unrelated firearms charge.
