WASHINGTON D.C. – On September 6th, American University Students rallied together and joined the “Free DC” protests held in Malcom X Park. Organizations such as American University for D.C., Task Force for Democracy, and Young Democratic Socialists of America at AU, joined hundreds of D.C.-based organizations to protest President Donald Trump’s military deployment of the National Guard in D.C.
Students and protestors marched 1.7 miles from Malcom X park to the White House, voicing their demands for President Trump to roll back the deployment and showing their solidarity towards groups targeted by the administration.
